The small swim club on the island of Bømlo had positioned itself uniquely within the aquatic landscape, taking full advantage of its geographical proximity to the sea. The inhabitants of Bømlo, surrounded by water, found it essential to cultivate swimming skills among the youth, recognizing that proficiency in swimming was not merely a recreational pursuit but a vital life skill, necessary for safety and engagement with their environment.

We developed a sustainable product range that emphasized an eco-conscious ethos. The product line included certified organic and Fairtrade garments, swim caps, flippers, goggles, and a nose kit. Furthermore, the club created a carefully curated selection of accessories that complemented the swim products, enhancing their overall offering. Each garment was custom-made and adorned with individual signatures. These signatures served to clarify each member's role within the club, thereby establishing an identification system that distinctly categorized individuals as swimmers, divers, synchronized swimmers, coaches, judges, or general members.

The primary aim of this identification system was to foster connections among members, facilitating personal acquaintance by allowing everyone to know one another on a name-to-name basis. Throughout its relatively brief history, the club achieved notable success, cultivating several national champions and establishing a reputation that warranted recognition within the broader swimming community. Their commitment to excellence in swimming, coupled with an understanding of their island's maritime identity and the necessity for swimming as a life skill, significantly contributed to the club's enduring legacy and impact on its members.
